Hi, I’m Jenn Schumacher, the Doula Nurse, and I’m so excited to join you on your journey to parenthood!
As your doula, I will support you no matter what your ideal birth looks like— unmedicated, with an epidural, vaginal, or a c-section birth in any location. My goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and empowered. I’ll be by your side to support your choices, help you advocate for yourself, and guide you through the birthing process.
Birth work has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was fascinated by shows like Birth Story on TLC and read books like What to Expect When You’re Expecting . Originally from Ohio, I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). During my time there, I was involved in a group called Moms to Be, where we helped educate and support women throughout their pregnancies.
I began my career as a labor and delivery nurse in 2013 and have since worked in both small and large hospitals. These experiences have allowed me to support a wide variety of birthing families and deepen my understanding of different birth settings and preferences.
In my free time, I enjoy playing beach volleyball, spending time with my family, traveling, and playing board games.
